Night Guard Splint

In order to treat patients suffering tension headaches and neck pain as a result of bruxism and temporomandibular joints (TMJ) disorders, we generally apply a custom manufactured acrylic removal occlusal night guard splint. This is carefully placed over the upper or lower lip. Through the application of night guard splints, we are able to provide you with the safest, easiest and most cost-effective method for preventing further damage and harm to your teeth and TMJ.  To read more on TMJ pain including headaches, jaw pain and neck aches, please click here.

When a patient reports excessive clenching or teeth grinding, we generally identify those symptoms as Bruxism. These actions may have adverse affects on your teeth as it may cause accelerated harm and potential permanent damage to both your teeth and TMJ pain.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks.  Dr Finkelstein will explain these to you carefully at the time of your consultation as well as address any questions you may have.  We also recommend before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
